My New Love!
So Far I have rebuilt the brakes with braided lines and ebc pads, fitted progressive fork springs and rebuilt the forks, fitted screamin eagle torque fit mufflers, fitted mikuni HSR 42mm complete kit, fitted what I think are sporster handle bars, fully serviced and checked every thing over.
Next is to run her in then fit new cam, ignition system, tyres and well the list keeps growing.
Her History Goes Like This
A man bought the bike new from a Harley dealer in 1994 paid cash for her, had a few bits fitted, and then had it delivered to his house (a very large house not far from me, in what can only be described as millionaires row). He road it up and down his long drive several times until the battery went flat, left it in his heated garage until his son was old enough to ride (last year) his son was not interested in bikes! So the original dealer was contacted for him to arrange the sale.
The original dealer is no longer a Harley dealer (after Harley they switched to Triumph and now to Victory). The owner of the business who I bought the bike from, is the same man who sold the bike originally, I have photos of the bike being delivered back in 1994 and a letter stating the history.
It is obvious on inspection that this is genuine it is basically a new bike, I must admit it was not perfect I have spent many hours cleaning the chrome as some surface rust had formed in places.
In the UK a vehicle has to have a mot at 3 years from new and then every following year. I presume similar to an American vehicle inspection, this bike had not been moted until I bought it. All it needed was a new battery, brake bleed and for good measure oil and filter change It flew through the mot.

The Best of Harley-Davidson for Lifelong Riders
This is my favourite dyna by far, ok it does not have 6 gears, it has skinny forks…………… what it does have is lots of soul, I sold a 09 Night train to buy this, again that was a great bike. I love to have work to do on my bike’s, the newer bikes are so reliable and easy to ride I found I didn’t have the same attachment to them as many older bikes I have owned.
As a teenager I always wanted a Harley although my mates wanted GPZ’s and the like, it took many years to afford a Harley and after owning 4 before this one I have found just what I wanted all along, I am a happy man.
