IMO, I would take some time tonight to read about the changes HD made in 06. Pretty significant. I think it will help validate your decision, which ever one you decide.
Anyway u could maybe expand on the subject.... other than 6 speed and EFI
I know this is hard to do, but im wondering is the bike im lookin at is anywhere close to a good deal. I hate to ask this but i just saw the bike and im in position to get it, and just wanted to see what i should offer. Really wanted a Xbones but i really think i could settle for this one! lol
Thanks
05, dyna WG, not sure the milage(i know.... needed to remember that)
....Air susp, PM controls(hand and foot) comes with 2 other seats, and another set of 12" apes.
im pretty sure from the pics yall can see what else is done. Dealer is askin $13,500
Heres what you do....Call that EXACT dealer and tell them you are not local and are gonna be in town and wish to buy a BRAND NEW bike from them and tell them you have this 05 Wideglide with all of the above mentioned modifications for trade in, and after they tell you they can ONLY give you 6k for the above bike because the mods dont add any value. Thats when tell them you will buy the one they are asking 13500 for the exact amount (6k) or whatever bogus lowball number they threw out there, and ask them why they tried to cornhole you on this one. That usually gives the dealer a reality check and gets the price down ALOT.

You would be riding another mans bike and paying a premium to do it.
Like there aren't a few guys riding around on Willie G's bike and paying a premium ....
People pay a premium for Jesse James' bikes or Paul Teutle's bikes ...
I would almost prefer to have something like this that is not an advertisement for one of those guys ... I happen to think the bike is really well done overall ...
I think that pretty much everyone is telling him not to pay 'a premium' ... or at least that he should be able to get away without paying too much of a premium ....

Just my take ...
My bikes quit being Willie's about a day after I buy them. I have never paid a premium for a Jesse James or Paul Teutle bike, nor would I ever.
I thought the OP asked if $13k was a good price for the bike (Good price?). I believe I added my opinion and the reason for it.
Thanks for all the good advise fellas. We will see what happens, might not be this bike but im lookin to own one with in next couple of weeks, even if it is a new WG.... they are sweet!!
