Hi, I was riding my bike this morning a 2006 Dyna Superglide down the freeway at approximately 70 mph when suddenly the odometer dropped to 0 and the bike seemed to sputter and stall, Then as fast as this occured the bike ran normal again. This happened 5 more times over a distance of 6 miles. The bike has approximately 15k miles. Modifications I have done are installed V&H short shots, Arlen Ness Big sucker Air Cleaner, stage 1 down load . A buddy told me it was the stator but I checked the stator as instructed by the service manual and all the readings on the multi tester showed no issues. Also a wow test speedometer showed no new or stored codes. Any advice as to what might cause this problem would be appreciated. Thanks everyone
It sounds like your loosing all electrical power. I would check Kill switch and battery connections first. then go on to all other electrical connections after that.

Had the same thing happen last year. Check to make certain that the battery is ok and the cables are tight. If they check out ok, it sounds like it could be the stator. That's what it turned out to be on my bike.
Had the exact same thing happen last summer riding in the Ga. mountains. Pulled into a rural gas station and filled up.--bad gas. Cut out numerous times and the speedometer would drop to zero and then back up. When I got to a half tank I refilled. Hasn't done it since.
