Cool dyna frame

i bought a used dyna frame it has a slight bend in the lower section of the down tube just below where the regulator mounts, does anybody know if this will affect the bikes straightness going down the hwy?

Unfortunately the only way to find out is to ride it. I used to have an old CX500 that the whole *** end of the bike was bent to **** but it still rode straight. And I've had perfectly straight brand new bikes with all sorts of odd ball handling quirks. To make matters worse Dynas are known to have some high speed handling issues so it would be hard to tell if it was the frame or just typical Dyna stuff. There used to be a company that specialized in frame straightening but the name escapes me, "Computrac" maybe.Good Luck.

My left down tube is slightly bent in the same area yours is. mine is an 08. the bike rides good & straight but the motor mount section of the frame there is off causing the motor mount to sit crooked, which in turn caused the motor mount tab on the case itself to crack.

I badly need to get mine fixed but cant find anyone near me to do it.

Take my advice, even tho you can probably get by with it - GET IT FIXED NOW before it causes more problems! The dealership quoted me $2500 just to get rid of the crack on the tab (have to replace the whole case + install/tear down + labor).

Why did you a buy bent Dyna frame? Is this a project you’re just starting?

I thought the same! Not the best way to start a new project bike! I'd get it checked over and sorted before going any further. There must be frame straightening specialists around.
