It will come off with out pulling the caliper no effing problem. I've done it several times with both spokes and mag wheels

I found a box wrench that got a good grip on the caliper bolts, tried a hammer and various leverage tries to no avail. Ended up snapping the wrench. Those bolts are on TIGHT!! I guess it's promising that a wrench will grab. Maybe I can find a long, heavy duty somewhere and have at it again.

You can get the wheel off without removing the caliper but changing the fork oil with the caliper on may be tough. You have to invert it and pump it.

Hmmmm...I thought I read some newer Dyna owners were able to drain through the seat bolt hole with the fork caps still intact then filling from the top after putting the bolt(s) back in.

Anyone?

No need to remove if it's a standard set up

I would take it back to the dip ***** who over torqued or more likely used RED loctite on them and make them remove, replace and reinstall them the proper way.

Don't mess with the caliper bolts, the more you mess them up the more likely they will claim it's your fault and not theirs!

I have a Mighty Vac. Think I can suck the fluid out from the top?
That's basically how Brian at Ricor told me to do mine. I used an 18" long piece of brake tube, some fuel hose and a differential gun, sort of like a huge syringe. A turkey baster or MityVac, similarly configured, would work, too.

Yup, you can do it that way.

Jack the bike up.
Drop out the front wheel (with or without removing calipers).
Remove the cap and retrieve from other side of garage where it flew to.
Remove the spring and drip oil all over your new sneakers.
Remove the seat tube bolt from the bottom of the fork.
Fetch a bowl to catch the last few drops of oil that haven't already made a puddle on the floor.
Pump the fork to get the last of the oil out.
Put the spring in and cap back on temporarily.
Refit and tighten the seat pipe bolt.
Re-remove the cap and spring.
Fill with new fork oil to correct level with spring and spacer removed and fork fully compressed.
Put the spring back with tight coils at bottom.
Refit cap.
Put the front wheel back in.
Drink beer.

Haha sounds like you watched me do it foxter.
I don't remove the caliper to take off front wheel.
Your running out of options with the bolts. Heat is prob out of the question on the caliper. Perhaps hammer a smaller socket on or cut flat sides on it with the angle grinder?
