05 FXD with Big Shots

05 FXD with Big Shots
I put a set of V&H Big Shots on a friend's 05 FXD a while ago and the other day swapped out bars and cables. After getting it all back together something caught me as odd. How the heck do you fill the transmission with these pipes on the bike? Luckily I filled it before I put the pipes back on but it looks like the next time service needs to be done the pipes need to come back off. If this is the case this is total BS.

Right part number from Vance and Hines.
The fill port on your bike is not the same as it is on a 05. On an 05 the fill port is on the clutch cover right above the clutch cabel.

Called the Vance and Hines tech line....they said you have to loosen up the pipes.....LAME. Glad I have a 2010.
