Newb to the forum and looking to be a new owner of my first bike ever. I have done my research and tied that to my emotional leanings and have settled on the 2011 FXDWG. I have 4 local dealers bidding for my sale and it is coming down to the Sedona Orange and the Vivid Black. Right now the lowest price I have is for the Sedona Orange at 14k out the door or 14300 with the wheel and tire insurance. Black one for 13697 out the door or 13997 with wheel and tire insurance. Each place will store it for free until April as I am in NH and riding season doesn't begin until then and will deliver to my door.
My question is what are others getting the bikes for cost wise and if the tire and wheel insurance is really worth it? It covers 5 years. Alternatively, there is another dealer that won't budge off the $15129 msrp but is giving a 2 year extension of the factory warranty for any bike purchased in February.
What dealers in NH? That is much better than I am being quoted in Maine. I am looking at about $15600 on the black flamed WG plus 1000 setup and 299 doc fee. It was too much so I am looking for a year old one. Let me know and I can see about traveling to NH.
Sounds like a good deal. I got my 11 in September and i got it for 13999 for the bike. Not including the tax, tags, assembly etc. They had a black 10 selling for 14500. I got my 11 for less than the 10's.

Check what is cover under tire and wheel insurance. I will never get any extended insurance on any HD I owned. I had whats of problems with the extended warrentee.

Major defects should be covered under your normal 2 year warranty anyway.

My original deal was with Manchester Harley in NH. They are awesome to deal with. I price shopped their price to Seacoast who came down by 500 which I then shopped to Kellys in Billerica, MA and they came down to 14k out the door. I am going to take that number back to Manchester to see if they will beat or match as I prefer to buy from them due to them being 10 minutes from my house and they have been stellar with me. Sounds like I have a good deal and should be happy with it.

Great info. Thanks. I am looking at a used bike in NH on Sat. so I will at least swing by Seacoast and get a price from them.

Just an FYI, Seacoast is an MVP dealer. If you're planning on modding your bike, you might consider it. In addition to your normal discount beginning with 11% which increases to 15% depending on what you spend, they run monthly specials at 20% off. For the $79 to buy in, it was the best money I've spent. I bought my pipes, windshield, tuner, and intake all at 20% off so it's paid for itself and more.
