Vance and Hines Exhaust Installed On FXDB, Opinions...
I would take the money for the Air Cleaner, and buy something to rich the mix a bit. I posted a fuel pak for $150 on ebay. Well I did not link to it, but it is there. Same price as the air cleaner, but will help your bike run better with the pipes you have, or I would get the basic Fuel Moto device, and keep my stock air cleaner.
A buddy of mine has a bone stock FXDF, and he goes where I go just as fast, and doesn't complain one bit.
I have read respectable articles where they have said the stock air cleaner pull in more than enough air, and unless you are going above 5500 RPM or a bigger throttle body. You really do not need a high flowing air cleaner. Save the money and check out the basic Fuel Moto piggy back, Vied/Xied or the Fuel Pak. Cobra makes one, TFI, and others do as well for under $250 that will make the mix richer.
Beautiful motorcycle. I like it a lot.
