Forget wiggling the bars and try this:

Turn bars hard left to the stop, then back slightly to the right (triple tree about 1/8th inch) before trying to turn the key to lock or unlock your forks

No my lock is somehow completely bust. I push it all the way in and it turns freely all the way around in either direction as if it is completely non-functional. Service was closed today, I will call them tomorrow.

No issues here after some miles on the bike. Locks fine and when I unlock it I just move the bars with my left hand to the right about an inch ( the amount you need to move the bar on your bike might be slightly different ) and the lock works every time. You do have to wiggle it a little when it is new. loosens up over time.

I give my lock a shot of M1 light oil every now and then.
hardly use the lock anyway but a wiggle helps.

Never had a problem with mine. Turn the bars all the way to the left and turn the key to the left to lock. Push the bars back to the right just a little bit and the key should come right out. If yours won't do this I think the dealer needs to install a new lock for you. Good luck.

Default Fork Lock

The best thing you guys can do for your sticky fork lock is to use some graphite on it once a year or so. Oil picks up dirt and will keep the lock from working. Mine had the ignition in the neck and you couldn't start it sometimes because the key would stick...a little graphite fixed it up.

You need to call Harley Davidson customer service and let them know what is going and and they will handle it.

Same here. Turn the bars to the left, then while turning the key to the fork lock position pull them slightly back to the right until the key turns. Easy.
