Default Clutch adjust with cable replacement??

I stopped by my local dealer to pick up some odds and ends. Got a gasket for my clutch release cover. I'm installing new cables and bars. The parts guy said I would need the seal for the clutch inspection cover. Because I would have to adjust clutch, after the cable replacement. This is my first time changing cables, but shouldn't I just need to adjust the cable??

The parts guy is incorrect. If all you are doing is swapping cables, then the clutch itself does not necessarily need adjusting. If you have lots of miles on your bike, then it could not hurt, but for now I would say no clutch adjustment is needed.

Cool. I couldn't see any reason to adjust clutch. Only 650 miles on it anyway.
