Had a Sears, Harbor Freight and ended up with the Pitbull Dyna model. There is no comparison. The J&S is in the same class but the Pit Bull raises to 24". You asked which is the best. Look no further.

I use this jack. It fits under the frame perfect with no adapters needed. From my experiences this jack is also a lot more stable than the scissor style jacks. Another good feature of the HF high lift jack is that is a very low profile, so if you have a lowered bike you don't have to roll your bike up on blocks in order to get the jack under it. As far as I am concerned everyone can keep those raggedy *** Sears yellow jacks and those J&S jacks. I wouldn't trade my HF high lift jack for 10 J&S jacks.
That Harbor freight High lift is pretty cool. The only thing I don't like about it is that it looks like it would be a pain to work on the right side of your bike.
J&S is great USA made quality and the company is ran with some amazing people, which is why I have no problem spending the extra money on their products. I even bought their wheel chock when I was moving. Just as good quality and I can use it as a stand in the garage too!! Notice no straps on the bike with their wheel chock either. Until trailered that is!!!
The bars are the tie down points, so no need to put tie downs in the trailer. Usually when it sits in the garage I take the tie down bars off!!
