Lately when i turn the ignition on on the bike the mileage won't show up. Another thing that i noticed is that when you get on it hard the needle will jump all the way to 120 and then sweep back to 0. The bike is a 2000 wide glide.
Yep, mine does it all the time. You just have to turn the ignition switch off than on again. Sometimes a couple of times. Just be sure to use the kill switch first on the handlebar each time you shut off the bike off, than turn off the key. This is a common problem with some dyna's. As for the speedo problem, mine also does this. You have to remove the speedo sensor at the top of the transmission and clean the sensor, you'll be amazed at the amount of gunk you will get out of it. I've had to do this twice so far and I have 40,000 miles on mine. You might have to re-insert it a few times to get it all out.

Had a similar problem on a '98. Water had gotten into the wiring harness and was causing a short. changed out the harness, problem gone.
