More likely the Softail was the problem. They're not known to hug the curves really well because the rear suspension geometry plain sucks.

I have mid mount pegs and added highway pegs. I really enjoy having both since it gives me the option to move my legs if I want to. Here's a pic of my bike....

My 2005 FXDL with forward controls

I actually saw a SuperGlide the other day that had both mid and forward controls on it
the shifter side is easy to do but the brake side im not sure how he did it and i didnt have my camsera with me as ususal
any one done this ?

They are HD parts. I was going to get the billet heel rest, but opted for a new set of pegs and rests that matched. I think they are the aileron (?) style. They are in the catalog. They make a world of difference. Feels almost like having floorboards. You just don't get the GeezerGlide look!
