Trying to install a set of J&M speakers to my Bob. The Instructions say to connect the power wire to a switchable power source. I received some advise to connect the power source to the accessory wire. Unfortunately, I do not know where the accessory wire is located (can not get a service manual until tomorrow). Does anyone know where the accessory wire is located?
I have a 2009 Street Bob. Mine was under the seat. Black square multi pin connector. I cheated and paid $15 for a (I believe softail) accessory HD plug-in cig adapter. Use the plug to plug into the harness....then run the wires to whatever you'd like....very easy and clean set up. I have a fuel pack on mine so I had to really dig into the wires to find it. Had a rubber plug fitting over the end of it. Hope that helps.

+1, it is under the seat on the 2009 Fat Bob too. I used it to power my 12v garage door opener that I tucked under my console. You can go to just about any dealership, autoparts store and probably a Fastenal, etc...to get the parts needed to make a Deutsch connector for it as well. It's not hard to do if you can crimp connectors on wire.
Sorry didn't see your question. NO the cig adapter itself isn't fused. The accessory line is fused at the panel, but I have thought about throwing in a inline fuse any way...just to be safe, I guess it couldn't hurt.
