Default Oil Cooler Mounting Bracket suggestions

I am getting ready to install my Jagg 3140 Oil Cooler, but before I do so I need to fab a bracket to attach the Oil cooler to the frame tubes. I specifically did not purchase the Jagg cooler which utilizes a bracket to attach to the front motor mounts because I will be running a TrueTrac. I would like to attach above the regulator to avoid road debris.

I have included a picture of the oil cooler for reference.

Thanks in advance

Mat

I just raised mine up for the install with the True Track. Being raised up it is not a mud flap any more.

I like the location you chose! I think I am going to do the same. Headed to the dealership tomorrow to get parts. I'm going to make a protective grill like another person did on the forums so even if it does get hit by something the grill will take the damage.

Just Enough,
Thanks for the reply. I really like the way that you set up your cooler, it looks tight and flows nicely with the regulator.

Did you fab the bracket yourself or did it come with the oil cooler.

The problem that I am having is that although the mounting screws attach at the top similar to your cooler, the oil returns are located at the bottom of the cooler. So I am not sure if I can flip it upside down to mount it. I believe your returns are on the side and point back towards the engine.

My original intent was to run each oil line down and zip tie to the frame tubes.

I'm using a modified (one new hole drilled) original Jagg bracket. My oil lines do come out on one end and head straight back toward the motor.

Thanks for the pics - love what you have done to your skoot. I am having a hard time telling what you bolted the bracket to on the bike?

I used the stock Jagg bracket and drilled a new hole in it and my frame cross member (upper left bolt). I used a 3/4 inch spacer behind the bracket with the new bolt and then picked up the lower stock hole of the bracket with my regulator bolt, I used a 1/8th inch spacer on the other regulator bolt so it would sit flat (compensated for the bracket thickness).
