Default Street Bob length question.

My truck bed measures about 8ft with the tailgate down. HD lists the length of the Street Bob at 7.75ft. Anyone know if there measurement is from the front of the front tire to rear of back tire?

I'm going to look at one almost 4 hours away and if it fits in the bed that keeps me from having to haul a trailer which is a +.

Truck is an 04 Ram Quadcab if anyone was wondering

Thanks

Just measured mine for you. Mine is a stock 2010 SB and it's exactly 7ft 7" - from front of rear tire to back of rear tire. Hope that helps

I'm not sure of the length difference, but I use to haul my Sportster in my Silverado. It was a short bed extended cab.

Default Load it diagonally

What's the bed length "diagonally"? Bike doesn't have to go in straight.

I drive a '03 dodge ram quad...I have to say you are brave, I wouldnt want to walk/ride up into the bed. I thought about it and once I was standing next to truck, I ran up to uhaul and rented the bike trailer for $22.

Thanks for the responses. I was hoping the guy had a hill of some sort I could back the tailgate into and ride it in. I've got no ramps and he's not sure of a good location to load that way so It looks like I may be taking the trailer.

Either way if the purchase happens I'll be sure to post up some pics :P

I haul mine in my 5x8 utility trailer with room to spare between the rear of the bike and the trailer ramp.

I used a treated 2X12 about 6 feet backed to a hill or curb. Never had any issues. Again, that was with a Sportster.
