Default Solo Seat / I'm Confused.....

I have plans for some long rides this summer and my stock seat isn't gonna cut it. I did a bunch of searches but it just confused me more on what to buy.
The Lepera Bare Bones is the style I really like but it would be very comfortable? Maybe a gel insert?

I couldn't get rid of my stock Street Bob seat fast enough. Since then I've had a Corbin solo, Mustang Vintage and a Danny Gray Buttcrack that was modded by Mean City Cycles with impact foam and gel. The Danny Gray is a lot better than when it was stock but I think overall that the Mustang is still more comfy in the long run.

I have a regular Danny Gray Buttcrack solo and I think it's very comfy and still looks good.

Anyone running a Corbin Hollywood solo? Also I was thinking of sending my stock seat to Kno Place Upholstery and have a gel insert and worked over.

I personally think gel inserts for seats are the worst idea anyone ever devised for seat comfort, they are cold in the winter and stay cold and hot in the summer and will give you swamp azz, it really is hard to beat good old fashion foam seat, I use a mustang vintage its the most comfortable i've ridden on.

I have a Lepera Bare Bones seat and it's just fine....of course, I also am running Ohlin rear shocks. With those shocks on the bike, the Bare Bones is just as comfortable as any other seat. So it does matter what your suspension setup is like....not just looks. With stock shocks and the Bare Bones...it was like riding a couple of 2X4s.
