You will tap in to one of the wires from the left hand side
and I would suggest using solder and heat shrink to make it a
good connection and waterproof.

Have you had any problems when gluing the grips on or the grips coming loose because of the heat? Are you guys even using glued on grips? I just wanted to add the heat Demons and reuse my grips, on a tight budget and did not want to buy new grips.

Not using the glue bro.
Luckily the grips are held nice and tight by
the switch house. Have not had any problems.
After searching the forum found a 4 pin harness under the seat 2 hot two ground rigged up a wire joiner to the hot wire so I wouldn't cut in to a unknown wire Works so i hope i got it right . Apparently there is a HD adapter to run accessories so you don't have to cut in. Paid 129.99 here in Ontario for the heat demons at ( Royal Distributing) working good so far but still have a little snow on the ground.
