I used fishing line and the heat gun. Once I had the reflector off, I just kept heating up the sticky left behind until it balled up and I could get off with my finger. Then I finished it up with some windex.

I just jammed a small screwdriver into the foam tape and carefully pried them off. No damage. Then used a rag and gas to clean off the goop. I also keep the reflectors and temporarily re-attach them with two sided tape every year to pass my state inspection.

Just pull them off, and if anybody is truly worried about not being seen just go to auto zone, buy some strobes and neon lights, wire up ur bike like a Christmas tree and call it a day. Safety first...... Not really.

I literally just finished taking mine off using the dental floss and hair dryer technique. Worked great! Actually took me longer to bring the supplies out into the garage than it did to remove them.

What I did was heat up the reflector area for about 30 seconds, and then slide the floss in from the front of the fender reflector and work toward the back. Took no more than 2 or 3 seconds for the reflector to peel off with the floss. I though it would take a little longer than that. But nope, slid through like butter. Anyways, then I just repeated on the other side.

Now I'm going to take some goo gone and get off the left behind residual.

I have taken all the reflectors, tank emblems and stickers off of my bike (except the ones on the lowers) using goo gone and fishing line. The tank emblems were a PIA but everything else wasn't too bad. Thinking next time I may try and use an electric tooth brush to help remove the left over residue.
