Performance suggestions?
Just put on a set of V&H Short Shots,SE High flow intake and SE stage 1 download on 2011 Wide Glide.Made a huge difference from stock off the floor performance.Any suggestions for upgrade?
Short shots are holding you back a bit there - not exactly a performance exhaust. I doubt you are going to change them at this point though.
A dealer download for stage-1 only maintains stock AFR for your new hardware and so you will be leaving horsepower on the bench. Consider a SEPST, TTS or PowerCommander V plus a dyno tune.
With luck, your stage-1 will net you 8-10HP, taking you to around 75HP peak. Do some cams too, like SE-204s, and you'll have power across the rev-range without flat spots and you'll find another 10-15HP.

From what I hear some bolt in cams liven up the 96''ers a LOT, due to the epa friendly cams they come with. 88''er not so much. But there are a million and one things you COULD do, how much you wanna spend is another story. Think a pro charger goes for about 4-5k and would work wonders......then again a good tune costs 300 or so and makes a big difference....what you want to spend?

My stage one wasn't even noticable...2 into 1 exhaust, pre-programmed PC3, and AN Big Sucker. I wasn't even running stock AFR's with the removed O2 sensors. All I noticed was a better exhaust note, but no seat of the pants improvement. Well, I did gain 10 MPH on the top end, so it definitely did do something, so it wasn't an entirely wasted effort.
It took cams, heads, big bore and more to really wake this thing up, but I did them all at once, so either of the three could probably have made noticeable gains by themselves. Together, they certainly made a difference! On my initial and hard 20 mile break-in run, I could feel the clutch slipping and smell it. I immediately ordered an AIM variable pressure clutch to handle the power. It works. A SE compensator is sitting in my shop just waiting for me to install it next.
I've read about guys doing the 103" mod with relatively mild cams and headwork that were putting out some great dyno numbers.
The route I took required a new throttle body, larger injectors, new pushrods, covers, and a lot more work than what the 103" "mild" build guys were claiming to have done. Their build was about half the price of mine, but their money was well spent.
I don't know what your expectations are, how you ride, where you ride or how much you are willing to spend, but just beware...Once you start making power, serious power, you will find other weaknesses in the powertrain that you may have to deal with. For me, it's a price that I'm willing to pay for a fun ride.
