i still haven't figured out why any of the main fairing companies hasn't made something for the FXDF...a pretty large group has been asking for them for awhile and i don't think the FXDF is going anywhere anytime soon..love the look...i want a fairing on my Fat Bob, but i'm waiting for the one that just looks epicly awesome
Memphis Shades now makes the DYNA fairing, but its for the small headlight. You just have to figure out the right side plates for your app. I just put one on my Wide Glide and love it.
Thanks man. I've actually been trying to make it not look like an FXDF lately. I don't know why but when I see a stock Fat Bob,I almost don't know why I liked them so much when I got mine. They're a great starting point, but off the floor they just don't really do anything for me anymore.
Thanks meyerz2 for details and inspiration along with several other guys here who have done this mod and provided great information for us folks thinking of doing it to our bikes. I have to thank Big Louu on here as well cause he lives not far from me and invited me to come look at his setup so I could see up close what it required. I got lucky and GJW1911 sold me his already setup reckless fairing off of his Fat Bob for a really good price.
Since mine has Road King police hard bags I am thinking of naming it a Fat King
Looks great man, i installed mine thinking it would be just for long trips and that i would remove in the city, well since i installed it i have never taken it off, love the wind protection and mostly having kick *** tunes.

I have heard that from several people with the reckless setup that they all started with the idea of making it easy to take off but they liked it so much it stayed on. I don't plan on pulling mine off for anything but maintenance and repairs so the QD setup is nice, otherwise its there to stay. Thanks for the compliment on my bike, bike's like yours are what made me decide I wanted mine setup that way
