Does anyone know where the shocks are set from the factory? I have a new Wide Glide, and it seems to be riding hard. I wonder if the shocks are set at the hardest point, or somewhere between. I weigh 165lbs and will never ride my wife on this bike. She has her own Softail Deluxe.
Mine were set on the bottom. Look in the manual, it will show you how to set them, I would start at the bottom and work my way up. I weigh about 160 and have mine at #2.
Do you think they are all set on the bottom? I just read the manual and it tells you how to adjust. They do not say where they are set from the factory though......

Not to sound like jerk, but in the time it took you to post you could have thrown a wrench on them and checked? How does anyone know were your shocks are set?

Like AK47Dennis, I hate to be a jerk about it but - did you even LOOK at the shock to see where they are set? And one more thing, what difference does it make where they are set from the factory? You apparently aren't comfortable with where they are set so adjust them softer. It's your bike not Harley-Davidson's anymore. At least that's the way I think Of my '10 Wide Glide.

Agreed. My dealer (not factory) set them on the middle setting when I took it home. Turned out as agressive as I ride it was bottoming out some so I had it increased by one and now seems to be about right.
