Hi, I have an '07 Street Bob bought in Sept. '06. Does any one know how do I turn off the alarm so that when I disconnect the battery it does not go off repeatedly.
I know how to put the bike in to service mode by turning the key to the Accessory position and holding in both indicator buttons until I get three flashes and then turn off and remove the key, but this does not seem to disable the alarm. Neither does pulling the bike main 40 amp fuse!
Any help would be very much appreciated...........
Turn on your ignition while you are carrying the alarm fob with you.
Then remove the 40 amp. main fuse and you won't have any trouble.
Alarm is off.
However, this works for my 2010 model, don't know if yours is any different.
Good luck!
From the Can. owners manual:
When disconnecting the battery or removing the main fuse, perform the follwing steps to prevent the optional siren from sounding.
1. Verify that the fob is present.
2. Turn the ignition key to IGNITION.
3. Pull the main fuse from its holder or disconnect the battery.
I have a HD 2003 Night Train. I want to know how to disingauge the alarm system by using the turn signals without the fob. I saw it done once when i had the bike in the shop. Can someone help me if you know how its done.
