Aloha.... Just a quick question. I'm simply looking for sound and was wondering which slip on pipe would be my best option. Vance&hines for dyna? Or Rush w/ 2 in. baffles?
I would check out BCT Baffles that fit inside the head pipe. Not much you can do with the stock mufflers. Pick up a pair of used Rush Slip ons,( you can find a lot of them on Ebay cheap) add the BCT Baffles and remove the Rush Baffles....too loud replace the Rush Baffles without the packing and play with them from there.
The rush are always a good choice! just remember that you may need to get your bike re-programed if you go with too large of a baffle! Youll definatly wana do that if you also change anything on your air cleaner. good luck!
my buddy has some rush slip ons on a nightster. they sound just as good as my full exhaust system... but Big City Thunder Baffles get real good reviews here.
but like many who have gone with slip-ons... they usually end up getting an entire exhaust system. so you may want to save that slip-on money and put it toward stage 1!
Many mahalos! I'm sure I will eventually go with a whole exhaust system. I just really want sound at this point. I'm also wanting to lower it; I'm 5' 3". I was told it cost more to lower, so saving my coins for that. Don't want it to ride like junk, though, so I'm still researching lowering kits and how low can one go w/out totally messing up the suspension.

I like my shock setting on the lowest position. I am 225 lbs and it rides real nice for me. If you buy an aftermarket seat also. You might not need to lower the bike.
