I just pulled the trigger on trading my Street Glide. Luckily mine was about 1/2 way paid down, so it wasn't so bad.
I loved the SG the day I bought it, but slowly I grew tired of all the extras. It didn't feel like a motorcycle. Then we bought my wife an 06 Street Bob and I found myself wanting to ride it, more than the SG. The Bob is just so easy to ride. When I test rode the WG it was just as easy and I really love the look of the new WG...so I couldn't resist.
I haven't taken delivery of my new 2011 Wide Glide yet, because they're waiting on the pipes to arrive and a few other goodies. I'll keep ya posted on how I end up feeling in the long run. I think I may just fall head over heels for the WG....but I guess time will tell.

Well Congrats on your new WG. I know I'm not dissappointed, and I dont think you will be eithier.
I've only put 9,500 on my Dyna in the last year...ooops.
Some day I want to get a Street Glide, want to try one out first though...maybe my friend will let me borrow his new CVO to test out.
Do yourself a favor, sarge.
Before you roll out of Osan....put the deposit on one through AAFES. You can always push the deposit forward, and when you're ready, you can get the EXACT one you wnat at 8% uNDER MSRP.
I bought my dad's scooter at Osan 4 years ago....saved a TON.
Osan....damn I miss the girls!
PM me if interested....I'll tell you how that "game" is played. If you ever change your mind, you get your money back. It's too easy. Next deployment, I'll drop another deposit.

The juice game? I think I've got it covered, over 7 years at Osan.
I got my SG last June and did two big trips on it last year and would not get rid of it for anything! I do want a second bike to share the love, I want to hot rod something for bar hopper but I just got a ground up build bug..

No....how to drop a deposit on a bike, and keep pushing out the delivery date so that you effetively keep the deposit for as long as you like, then get a bike....some guys have gone yeasrs forwrding a deposit.
Juicy's are a waste of money......gotta meet a Seoul girl....I did that. Juicies are basically slaves.
I don't understand why anyone would want AAFES ENCS to hold onto their money any longer than needed. Put it in the bank and let it collect a little intrest.
I don't do the Juicy game, I'm too cheap. My wife grew up just south of Seoul. Juicies put themselves in that situation, esentially taking a loan then having to work it off. At least when they were all Korean Juicies. Now they're Philipinos, "tricked" in to thinking they will be singing or dancing as entertainers...then they find out they will be entertaining; Juicing drunk GIs leading them to belive they love them. All bullshat, the bar just doing its part in human trafficing. Bar owner's Association just did a protest outside the main gate yesterday, saying the US Gov is too tough on them and puts establishments off limits for too minor of infractions. They don't see bar fining as prostitution and consider it to be perfectly legal...even though the Korean Govy says it's illegal too.
OSAN .........Blah Blah, hate you guys.... Only been to the KunX2... Retired now and No more of that SHYT
Osan is where it's at! Eff Kunsan, I'd hate to be stationed there. In the 5 years I was here last time I used to go twice a year to the Kun for two weeks of maintenance on their systems. Bleh, after one night of A-Town I had enough of the Kun entertainment.
Well Congrats on your new WG. I know I'm not dissappointed, and I dont think you will be eithier.
Well, I only have about 150 miles on her so far...but damn I am in love with this bike. Feels like it was made for me. I honestly think the handling and ride are better than the Street Glide. The Street Glide is good on the freeway though, I will give it that...but I was pleasantly surprised at how the WG handles on the freeway when I jumped on this morning to commute to work. So far I don't regret my decision one bit and man this bike sure gets a lot of looks.
