Thanks. I really like how it looks on your bike. May try and find something like it for mine.
Bike looks good, but IMO, a 7" headlight would help fill out that opening. I like the old school tank badges. I went the same route, but different emblems.
I also really like that windshield wall mount in the background. I might have to make one of those if i ever decide to actually take my fairing off.
Ryan - really nice job ... looks great ... the anti-street glide ....
Joe - you thought about taking the dremel cutting wheel to the center of the inner fairing and just 'glassing' up your own custom dash solution ...? That way you could mount the 7" full-on "mother-of-all" navigation/audio systems ... I think you could make it killer ....
Your preliminary mock up looks good ... you're gonna love it ...!
I think that Sony sytem is the DSX-S300BTX ... series ... the unit is satellite radio ready and all blue toothy, too ....
Looks a lot like I remember Jackyl's mounting system looking ... might want to refer to his thread 'Cheap Man's Street Glide' ....

Cheap Man's Street Glide? I wish it was cheap. I like Fat Glide. Wish I could find some nice FatGlide emblems for the bags.
another cool trick to hang a windshield is to use a hose holder. works awesome! that is how i hang my shield, but i like that idea for the fairing... gonna mack that for sure

Here are pics of his mounting bracket setup ... as seen at post #25 ....
Yep, that's about what you have left after cutting the ones the fairing comes with. I was gonna have a couple made just like this because I didn't think the seam or whatever would allow the stock ones to work after being cut down, but they did so i chose to leave well enough alone.

I totally agree on headlight. Just haven't put the cash out there yet for it. Once I buy a new fender the headlight will follow. Need to hit ebay maybe find a used 7" headlight
The wall mount for the windshield is just PVC. very easy and low cost to make. I think the whole thing was under 10 bucks

I got my headlight on Ebay for $135. Just do a search on King Cobra Headlight on Ebay. Initially I didn't think I'd like the little visor on it, but it works perfect with the contour of the fairing. I tried the stock Fatboy style headlight on ebay for like $48 or something super cheap but it didn't stick forward near enough and didn't look good. I don't understand why some headlights are so damn expensive and look exactly like the ones that are 3 to 4 times cheaper.
