I could be just cruising down the highway and it will die. I will have all my power( lights,speedo,ect.) just the engine dies. If I switch the run/off switch and the hit start button it will start right back up even while I am still coasting. Anyone know what the problem might be. Its a 07 fxd.

 

I've seen more than a few of these randomly intermittent problems on this forum root caused to the electrical connection to the battery. I would tighten both connections to the battery, along with the chassis ground stud(s). If that doesn't fix it check your codes to see if the ECM has flagged a fault.

When I had my 07 Dyna it would just die, then restart at a push of the button. I had the ECU upgraded as in the attached sheet. Hope this helps.

I just got towed last weekend for this very reason. It was the System Relay, a $5.00 part. On my Heritage Softail, 2006, this is a grey box about 3/4 of an inch square that is on the fuse block, under the seat.

For $5.00, just replace it and see if it fixes your problem. It simply plugs in.

The System Relay controls the fuel pump on an injected engine, and if bad it simply shuts off the fuel. There might be a code for fuel pump, pressure or something similar.
