Default widest wheels

whats the widest wheel you can put on a 99-2005 dyna? i have an 01 low rider and id like to put fatbob wheels on it. i know the fronts will work for sure with a wide glide front end, and im sure i could just use another front wheel as a rear wheel, but will a 16x5 fit on the rear with little modification? im just wondering if i need to buy a wide swingarm kit. thanks guys.

See it says the biggest size I cab put on my scooter with no nods is an 18x4.25. I'm wondering what I would need to do in order to make the 5 work. Like I said, if not, ill just use another print wheel as a rear wheel, buy is really like the five to work.

I'm running a deuce wheel on the rear which I believe is a 4.5 x 17 with a metzler 160/70 (could have fit a 170). My bike's an 01 FXD.

Maybe the right has a lot more to do with the width then. Ima just have too look at my bike when it gets back and see what I can do. I'd love to run a 180 on the rear but I'm not sure my swing ark, fender etc will allow it. Plus the offset of the belt fully and brake rotor

I too run a 17x4.5 deuce rear wheel with a 160/70/17 metzeler(just ordered the 170)I have some pic's in my album of the fit and clearance. It will take a wide tire kit ($$$$)to go to a 5" wheel,or a lot of cutting and welding!

The widest I could fit on my '00 FXDL was a 150mm Avon Venom, and that was only after I converted to a chain drive.
