Default Rear wheel clearance

On a 2013 SG would there be any clearance issues running an anarchy or agitator wheel that is 6.0 x 18" with a 200 tire? Yes, I know they don't make those wheels in that size but that can be changed

a 17x6.25 is fine thus an 18x6 should be fine. Aftermarket wheels come in 18x5.5 though.

Good to know, especially coming from someone that knows a thing or two about wheels. I'd go with a 5.5 but it seems no one offers one that doesn't cost an arm and a leg - my idea was to get something like an Agitator or anarchy wheel and and get Kosman to do their weld up treatment and turn it into something a 200 would fit on. The other idea is looking into if the Stinger wheel used on Fat Bob's could be fitted with different spacers since that wheel is already the right size. Seems they had that wheel fitment for 2008 FLHXSE didn't they?

thanks

i have the 18'' rear agitator. no special treatment done to mine and i'm running a 200/50-18 on it. though i am planning to drop back down to the 180/55-18 when this one wears out just for the simple economics of it. the 200 is not a multi-tread compound so will wear out sooner, and costs more to boot.

Ya, I know it can bet done, there are guys putting a 200 on a wide glide 4.5" wide wheel but that doesn't mean they should just because its possible. It pulls the sidewalls in, causes more flex and therefore heat and increase tire where not to mention making the contact patch smaller. On the right size rim a 200 radial should last a good long while.

nah, i have a few friends that have softails with the 200 tire. they are getting at most, 8,000 miles out of them. with my stock dunlops with the multi tread compound, i replaced both front and rear at 20,000. thats a substantial difference, not to mention the substantial difference in cost between the 180 and the 200 to start with.

yeah, i'm cheap. but i would rather be riding than trying to save up enough money to buy a tire that's worn out.
