Default HD High Vis. best wat to go

First I tried a cheap poncho, got soaked. Next tried a dept store rain pants and jacket, got semi wet and sweated way too much. Bought a set of frogtoggs, worked OK at slow speeds but highway speeds result in a flopping and sometimes popping open when catching air, Last bought a set of the Hi-Vis HD gear and it keeps me dry and not too hot. I bought one size larger than what fit good, because I wanted to be able wear a jacket if needed, it flops a little due to this when only a shirt on, but a light weight jacket makes it perfect.

I hate HD stuff usually. I think their jacket, chaps, boot, gloves are junk. I bought the HD Overpass II gear after a buddy recommended them and am glad I listened. I can honestly say they did good here.
I've got the same one, excellent,i have the the gloves also.First time i actually enjoyed riding in the rain.

I have also heard of friends that had Frogg Toggs that flapped and tore the first time they used them. Others mentioned that theirs melted on their pipes. I have the HD ones (not high viz though) and have ridden close to 1000 miles at highway speeds (single trip) without any issues and it kept me dry as well. I have had mine now for close to 3 years and still have not had any issues... they have always kept me dry in all kinds of wet weather.

What's the fit like on the HD Hi Vis set? True to size, big, small? I'm 5'10" and wear a medium in the leather jackets...

I bought a compact set from Lands End. It was cheap and packs into itself. But need to make sure the pants are tied down as will melt on the pipes.
