I got some from Pepboys once and they didn't fit. Well, they could illuminate correctly, even get proper turn signal operation without a load equalizer, but the shape of them prevented them from being fully seated in the turn signal houseing.
Jbrown, which ones do you have and did you need a load equalizer?
I use the 2 for $15 from AutoZone in taillight. Will not work in signals even with just one in the back with out load equalizers resistors and remember this part gets hot.

I started with the 13 led style that just has lights on the back of the bulb but I didn't think they were bright enough, so I bought some that had lights on the back of the bulb and on the sides and they were much better. Was a couple of years ago but I think I got them off of ebay. The ones that fenderzig and mxerwithabob posted look much better than the ones I was rinning.
Thanks! Those look perfect. I placed them in my shopping cart. Gonna get a set of ambers, too. I'm a huge fan of LED's these days. They've really come a long way in the past few years.
If you put LEDs in both the front and rear, you will need a load equalizer, at least I think you will. I was going to buy the ambers but I contacted the seller and they said I'd need an equalizer so I didn't do it. Someone else might chime in and confirm that though...I'm not positive.
