It's very subjective really, you might want your grips to match your pegs/pedals? You might want them to go with a "theme" on your bike like if you have skulls or?? I just bought some H-D Ironside grips for my SuperGlide, grab a few catalogs and compare. Ride safe.

Stock grips double wrapped with some Wilson tennis racket grip wrap that I found in the closet. The look is certainly unique and you can't beat the functionality (reducing vibration to the hands). I'm pretty sure my bike came from the factory with crankshaft run-out at the upper end of the allowable range...

I've always liked the stock grips. If they made them with metal end caps I would get them. Heck, they probably do, what am I saying...

When I changed my bars to Carlinis last year I went with Kuryakyn grips with the built in throttle rocker. I have found the grips to be a lot more comfortable than the original over the long haul. The throttle rocker is a welcome addition on the highway when your wrist is stuck in one position for a long time. All in all a great alternative to stock that IMO looks better too.

+1 on the Harley "get a grip". I just put some on my SB and they are very comfortable. They look and feel like the PM renthall grips in my opinion.
