What Helmet Do You Wear?
I have an Arai RX-Q (full face) that I usually wear. Just safer, and the chin / jaw injury picture a previous poster put up illustrates why.
I don't mean to hijack the thread -- but I wonder if color plays into anyone else's helmet choice. I think it was mentioned in the German motorcycling that wearers of white helmets were significantly underrepresented in the accident reports, which the authors suggested might be due to the visibility of white helmets.
I thought, "huh," and started to look out, when I was driving in my cage, to see if white helmets made a difference. And my own subjective view, it seems to. So when I had to replace my old helmet, although I loved the flat black, I went for white. I want to make it as easy as possible for the moron in the minivan texting on his cellphone while he drinks coffee and reads the newspaper to see me.
Anyone else have similar experience?

Two are the Harley carbon-fiber FXRG helmets, one full-face, one half-helmet. The third is a Bell Drifter half-helmet, my gal's favorite (it has flames on it!) and practical because it fits in the saddlebag (wish the HD half-helmet would!)

HJC CS-2N Blade DOT in Gloss Black (I only wear this on low speed local cruises or at bike rallies)

I like it.
It really is a personal preference thing though.
The Best of Harley-Davidson for Lifelong Riders
So I wear a Bell Star in Matte Black on long trips or when it's cold out. It's also got a Scala Rider for communication with the wife.

The Bell Star is great, super-comfy, lightweight, and quiet. I've previously had a couple of Shoeis, RF1000 and a Multi-Tec. I like this Star much much better.
Or for short trips around town I wear a Bell Drifter, in kinda a matte leather

The Drifter is my first 1/2 helmet. I have to cinch it down pretty tight to keep it from lifting up aerodynamically at highway speeds. Not sure if that's normal for 1/2 helmets or not.
