Just got done installing my Jackyl 2'' lift on my 2011 Super Glide. Man what a quick mod, maybe 10 minutes with the help of my 11 year old son. It looks great also.
Pics to come as the bike is finally almost completed.
It takes a bit longer if you drop the f*ck'n tank on your rocker boxes! (you know with cursing and all) but all kidding aside 2" tank lift kicks @ss! It's one of the best mods I've done on the bike. I was thinking of hitting Jackyl up for a second tank lift just a bit shorter maybe like 1.5" or something; if he's down with it. I guess I should PM him and ask.
Love his tank lift. I get compliment on the bike, but people are alway asking "why does your Dyna look different. Is it a different tank??" It's weird that they notice that, but when I point out the tank lift they totally see the change and like it.
Say what? Cool, pictures please...how is it installed? I just lifted my tank a bit to put my gps power cable through, seemed kinda snug on a Fat Bob...I definitely want to see some photos though....
i dont know what type of lift i have (bought it a few yrs ago on ebay) but i think the lift makes a world of difference, it changes the lines of the bike ....for the better IMO

Here's jackyl's ebay link. Install is losen back of tank, unbolt front of tank, install tank lift and bolt back down. Easier with the tank empty and put a towel on top of the rocker covers just in case you have to lower the tank for whatever reason.
I like to DIY so I finally took the time to make my own Tank Lift yesterday. Turned out great looked perfect. Until I went to install it for the last trial fit before paint. It went together OK and looked great. But while checking fit I noticed that the lower portion where the bolt goes through the mount and the frame. That part hits the tank. Damn! I took it apart to do some relief grinding trying to get some clearance. Eventually F'd the thing up so bad it almost ended up in the cornfield behind the shop.
I looked at the DK Custom tank lift and their site mentions that some of the later model Dynas have a "Curve in the tank ear" which I think is what caused my issue.
Does Jackyl's tank lift fit tanks with this curve? I'm not sure I care to waste another day on a 30.00 part. No matter how I like to DIY, there has to be a limit.
