check engine light intermittently on
I have a 2008 Dyna Super Glide. On Saturday, I noticed the Check Engine light was coming on intermittently and my sixth gear light wasn't coming on at all. Got to my destination and parked it until Monday. On Monday night going home, my speedometer backlight went out by the time I got into sixth gear. When I shifted down, it came back on. This didn't help me on the freeway. My DTC codes are p0563, b0563, b1006, b1007. I cleared them and sandpapered my battery connections. Driving to work this morning, I got the same symptoms. From what I've been reading on here, I should check the battery voltage while its running, correct? Whats a good voltage range I should be looking for? Is there anything else I need to check? I guess the voltage regulator is suspect if I don't have a good volt reading, correct? Thanks for the help in advance.

replace your stator, and stick a new regulator in there while youre at it.
If you dont believe me, unplug your stator from the regulator and take a resistance reading between the three terminals in the plug. If any combination is reading less than 10 ohms, and I'll guarantee you there is, your stator is shot.
