My 06 wide glide just turned over 17,000 miles and coincidentally the engine light just came on. The light isn't always on, but it comes on every once in a while. Is there anyways this has something to do with the milage? Like a reminder to take it in for a service? I checked my fluids, trans oil & engine oil, they are good. I also just replaced both of those fluids a few months back.
Any thoughts? The engine light comes on every once in a while, and then goes back off. The bike is still running as it normally does.

My 06' does the same, I have twice the miles on mine, however.
Check your codes. mine is always 1356 ( no combustion on rear cylinder).
It all started when I installed aftermarket plug wires.
But outer than the light coming on every once in a while it runs great.
