OK...guys, quick question on fitting Ape's, and I hope you don't mind me asking in here. I have a '07 Street Bob, I'm 6,2" so about what size ape's should I be looking for? I'd like to have my hands about shoulder level when I ride.
I don't really have the option to sit on some bikes to get a feel, so I'm going to rely on the experts on here, and I'll be sure and post pix in this thread when I get some put on...lol
Well I just put a set of Carlini 16 inch menace apes on my wide glide. I'm 6'1" and they are between shoulder and eye level but Carlinis run taller than the rest. If you go with a Carlini brand and want shoulder level I would go 14 anything else I would go 16
Just signed up to the forum and had to let you know your bike looks amazing I have based what I'm presently doing to my bike off of yours. A few differences bit Peru damn close. Well post pics in a week or so when it's all back together. Waiting on the forks to get back from powder coating right now
14 " carlini evil apes. I knew what set up I wanted since I got the bike 3 years ago and finally got the cash to do it. Exhaust a/c and tuner were more important to me than bars, so it took some time. The only other thing I would like to do is pull apart the front end and get the triple trees and fork lowers powdered gloss black. Iphone 4 pics suck, and in case anyone is wondering I'm 5'11" with 34" inseam. Gives you a good idea of where these bars would sit with you
