2007 fxd fairing?

ok so i know this topic has been beaten to death. but...

I went to harley today and asked for the quarter fairing in vivd black.

they said that they do not make one because harley switched to the bigger forks, so the mounts do not work.

dammit. i really liked that type of fairing. so i guess the only other choice is arlen ness correct.

or has anybody fit the hd fairing to a 07 or newer fxd. how do you do it?

I think it can be done with the new style windshield clamps. I know I've seen them mounted on the 49mm forks.

Check these guys out....And you can probably find a fairing on eBay for a good bit cheaper than the dealer .

I was cheap about it and used kury 49mm tube clamps, and windshied mount washers, and just made spacers to widen the spacing to mount to the kury mounts....

Your parts dept. is pretty lazy, they should still sell them becuase the sporty is still a narrow glide fork set up. Just search the web for them. Mines attached with bungee straps becuase I'm super cheap. looking for the cheapest turn signal mounts now, not into how the hd quick release mounts make the fairing look. and I'm not paying 100 bills for brackets that I already have when 2 dollars worth of washers will do the trick.
