I hear ya. The local paintless dent removal guy might be helpless if the dent isn't accessible. They use all kinds of bent rods and spoons to work the dents out and often resort to drilling holes in door panels or whatever to gain access. There is a chance, however, that they can use an adhesive or suction device to pull it out. They go through special training to get certified. The guy I took my rig to was a Harley dude and made most of his own tooling, it wasn't like he was a one trick shop. He did upholstery, custom metal fab, painting...just a pretty talented guy.
I'd still take a ride over to one of these places and let them take a look.
