Is there anyone out there still running Chrome Pipes (other than stock) or has everyone switched over to the dark side? I'm really interested in going with V&H Bigshots but just can't decide on chrome or black. I can't seem to find any pics of our beloved Street Bob in Black Denim and a set of those pipes. If you guys will point me in the right direction or post up some pics.
A splash of chrome looks great against flat black... I'm quite fond of the black shields/chrome mufflers on my scoot (obviously) but I've a couple of mates that think it's dorky looking... Each to their own, but a flash of bright will work wonders for sure
I got the Chrome Big Shots at a great deal.....but powdercoated them flat black right away (well, I paid Joe to do it). I also got the tips in gloss white...something different.
You could do the same as me but just wait it out before powdercoating them. Ride for one season with chrome, the next with black, and the next with exhaust wrap. By the end of the three years you'll want a whole new look exhaust system anyway. :-)
