Default Repainting tips "Help"
Ok Guys and Gals....
Im going to repaint my Thunderheaders....
Any tips or suggestions to doing it right....

As i should have listened to SC-Longhair, in the next year i will probably have to get mine powder coated. My plans are to get them Ceramic Coated Black and keep the Chrome heat shields. Im not a "blacked out" bike kinda person so hopefully that leaves me enough chrome and contrast.....

man to be honest it is worth having them blasted, then use high heat, typically i would say 500* but T headers run so FN hot you may want to look to VTH 650 or 1200 degree, problem is if you do not get the temp right on the paint it will flake off super easy as it final cures on the bike... personally i would shoot for 650

I looked into the Ceramic coating, was told it will discolor anyway.
Deffinetly need the heat shield for the upper rear....

Im going to try the 1600 deg paint for BBq's....

i used the VHT flame proof header paint it is good for 1300-2000 Deg.
