Thinking about getting some 11'' progressive 412 shocks, I don't know if I should get the heavy duty springs or standard, I ride solo most of the time, but do like to load up with the wife and go for weekend trip, I am about 210lbs she is about 140. stock shocks suck, any help would be great I only want to buy one pair instead buying **** three times like I usaully do.
Thanks
Steve
11'' 412's are going to be stiff either way, I have 12'' 412's on my superglide with standard springs and run them in the bottom setting (softest) I weigh about 210 and am thinking about going back to my 13'' Bordello shocks, they ride 10x's better than the 412's I have on now.
I have the 11in Progressive standard. They are set how ever I got them from a board member. I'm 180 and ride solo almost all the time but I have ridden 2 up with no problems. The ride is a little rough but not that bad. Been on a 3hr ride and good to go.
If the replacements are shorter then they will be a little stiffer. We ride on the 412's HD soft setting and the ride is just right. We have the standard replacement length. Looks much better than stock also.
