Check the Avon site, they seem to think different. Their advice is Venom front and Storm II Ultra rear. They wouldn't do that if it couldn't be done.
Besides, it's a British company so I assume they are very well aware of any safety (or other) regulations in the UK.

That's the exact combo I'm running. When these ones wear out I will be staying with the Avons. I really like how it handles.
I know the stealer does that (size thing) too... so I took the wheels OFF the bike and brought them in. They never asked what bike they were for and I stated what I wanted them to put on. Another time I bought some off the bay and brought them to my indy...same thing...never asked what bike they were for.
Maybe if you just bring them the wheels????

Can do this too, or better yet buy some tire spoons and dismount/mount yourself. Quick and cheap, especially if you go through tires a lot
"IF" you want or need to stick with some stock Harley tire.... then go with the D407 rear, and the D408 front. What I run... get good mileage out of them, and they stick... enough for me to scrape metal in the corners... I'm guessing that's far enough.
My original post was after I'd said yes to ordering the DonePops as I have one day I can have them fitted...which is tomorrow. Then it's riding time!!!!!! Doing a full tour of the west country (Cornwall).
The next set I get will be Avon and there will be no arguing or I will go somewhere else.
My front has plenty of tread left and I got almost 9k out of the rear but once the front is in need of a change I'll do both and **** the expense!!!
Now all I gotta do is work out why the bloody thing is drinking oil like I drink beer!
