Question. I changed my clutch lever and wasn't exactly sure what tension should be applied. With the bike off and pull in the lever it is still in gear? Is that normal? If I turn on the bike and pull in the clutch it will start and the gear will engage after I let out 3/4 of the lever. The manual says like 1/16th or something like that. Just a few millimeters should be gap if you pull on cable from housing.
If I loosen it anymore it doesn't necessarily do much and if I tighten down more then it takes so much before it grabs.
So your telling me that with bike off that clutch lever pulled all the way in should allow the bike to roll?
Yes, but not easily if cold and in gear.
If you want the clutch to engage closer to the bar turn the adjusting screw inside the primary out about 3/4 turn. The more you turn it out the closer to the bar the clutch will engage.
