Agreed on the form over function not going to lie there loved the 2 into 2 look and actually did not know they were not so good with performance after the tune however I am not disappointed in the least. I will agree that there are much better pipes for performance but then again so many variables effect everything. I will have to post up my dyno sheet torque curve was awesome blasts up right away and stays high through out obviously not the case with HP gradually increases and rpms increase.
The one thing I will say is that I loved cracking the throttle and hearing those pipes. They sounded great.
I don't have any experience with the bike in this department but with my cars I found who is running the dyno makes a huge difference probably more so than the actual tune I have seen 2 different shops dyno the same car, no changes between, and come up with 2 different numbers they were close but still quite different.
That could be why the same stage one upgrade on the same motor but from bikes around the country in this thread are all pretty close but still has a good spread. After different dyno makes and weather, altitude/atmosphere adjustments and then different operators it would be impossible to get the same numbers for the same mod.
My advice take dyno numbers with a grain of salt call it a ball park figure and just enjoy the upgrade for the ride and not the numbers.
+1
I have tow different Dyno sheets from two different "Tuners" and two different readings! I now look at "Tuners" differently, those who call themselves "Tuners", or think they are, likely are not! I have likely spent more on "tuning" than anyone on this board and still don't have much to show for it.. Soooo, take the individual who says he is a "Tuner" and has a Dyno, with a grain of salt!
In other words...............do ya like the way it runs?
If so.............ride on bro........................... Enjoy!
F um if they cant take a joke.
Mine is slow and it won't get much faster until I do heads, cams, bore and a 2 into 1.
Until then I'll just ride it with my V&H longshots and enjoy it for what it is A BIG OL HOG
