No hate. They lasted less than 5000 miles each time I try them and the pirrelli's did better in the rain. I have tried almost every tire out there and the nightdragons suite me best. I've replaced my rear tire like 18 times. Don't get me wrong the Metz is a great tire I just found something better for how I ride. I think the night dragon is pretty new but I've been wrong before.
Just kidding on the hate'n. Happen to have Pirelli on my new F150, 11K and looking good. ME880's replaced the Avons about 2-3K ago, still look very good. The Avons (Venom?) were on when I bought the bike and were worn a bit, guess they're probably a good tire as well. Had a pretty cool tread pattern.
Isn't metzler tire a division of Pirelli ? I read something recently that suggested that . I like my michelin scorchers but the jury is out on how long they will last. I have always liked avons and metzlers and had good luck with both. I know pirelli's handle insanely well but dont know about the longevity. Check out JPcycles.com and DennisKirk.com online. they have good tire prices.
You know alot of people hate on the HD tires (i think dunlop makes them) but they have made my life good up here is western washington. I ride in some nasty rain and some cold weather also, they have done great in the weather that we get up here. They have just over 6,000 miles on them and still looking and handling great hopefully i get about 4,000 more on them but we will see. Then again Metzler and Pirelli are great tires to go with also.
I only know the fresh ME880s that I have on my ride and they're awesome so far... Motorcycle superstore delivered them within days and the pair only cost $300

I found great bargains on Michelin Macadam and Commander at Jakewilson.com. Got 16" for the RK for $59, and the 17" Mac for the WG for $64. Was a few months ago; the Mac's may be gone, but the Commanders were more recent. Gonna run the Commander "rear" on both F/R of the RK.
