Default 2000 FXD TSM question..reprogramming?

Hi all.
I've got an issue with the turn signals on my Super Glide. After spending a few hours searching here and on the net without coming up with what i was hoping for, i thought i'd just ask here in hopes someone can help.
Here's what i'm up against and what i've done.
Both front marker light's work fine. The right signal works fine, but i have no left signal and no 4 way flashers.
My left rear bulb stay's lit ALL the time.
I've tested the left bar switch, and it is working as it should and is not staying 'on'.
I've traced wires and found no rub through or open circuits, and also grounds. All good.
Tested power going in and out of the TSM, and have found all working fine EXCEPT the left rear pin has power all the time which tell's me there is an issue within the internals of the TSM itself.
I'm an auto tech by trade so i'm familiar with testing and repairing, even the need to reflash computer items, but i can't make sense of it with my bike not having an alarm.

Now, buying a new TSM is not a problem, neither is having it "flashed" by my local dealer.
BUT, my question is this.
My bike does not have an alarm, it's just a turn signal module, so does it have to be reflashed considering it does not have an alarm or key FOB that has to learn the new program, or can i just replace it and go? I'd rather not waste the time and money to have it "programmed" if it does not have to be.

Any of you fella's replaced one without having to have it reprogrammed?

THANK YOU in advance guy's. .

Tony

Figured this one out myself, but thought i'd share in case any of you run into the same issue.
I put the new TSM in and it did not need to be programed like the dealer said. Works just fine.
It's more than likely because my bike does not have an alarm so nothing to "marry".
Not a big deal, but 50 bux saved is another 50 towards HP upgrades.

Sounds like you got it fixed. Next time though start cheaper. Just change out the bulbs all the way around. The new TSM may be good as it is new and electric is strong. Any problem with turns start by changing the bulbs. Front are 1157 and rear is 1034.

Good advice, and i actually did. I tested every thing prior to the conclusion of the TSM. Would have been great had it been a bulb though
