Switchback "ripoff"

i got to test ride the FLD about 2 weeks ago, outa curiosity more than anything else.
I didnt like it. The 103 was nice but that's where it ended for me. things that disappointed me:
Bags, too small. If HD went to the trouble of making smaller FL style bags, why not just make them full size with a cut out for the shock so you have real packing and touring capacity?
Ride position, for me I was perched up to high and too forward on the stock setup. Yeah you can change seats, bars etc, but after paying an extra 3 ish K do you really wanna have to spend more?
Top of the shield was right across the center of my vision which was annoying. Interestingly i didnt notice any excessive buffeting, so I guess a positive point there.
Admittedly the bike looks great with the bags and shield off, but you can get the same look for way less than 16K with mods on an FXD.
The added (though in my mind, limited) functionality of the bags and shield for the extra $$ just doesnt tip the scale for me.

Did a search and this is the only thread that came up.
Does anyone have info on installing the Switchback's floorboards on a different Dyna? I want them for my Fat Bob. I read all the posts and although it seems it will work, I wanted to see if anyone has actually done and how much the whole thing cost.

In fact now that i've re read my post, I think i can confidently say I was balanced in stating the what i did and didnt like, and was remarking on the the functionality of the touring add ons, and that for ME it just didn't work out...i also mentioned that stripped it looked good.
As for my headlight, well some like it, some not. I do like it and really couldn't give a rats rancid ringbit what anyone else thinks if they wanna express an opinion in a derogatory manner... but then again, no pic of your bike there, so we have no idea what you sense of "Style" is......
