Default FLD Floor Boards

Hey Guys,
Long time since I have posted, does anyone know if the new FLD floor boards will fix an 06 Dyna? I know people have tried with the police edition but they are hard to come by.

How ya doin' Mikey..

I'll let ya know soon. I've been researching that for some time and, working with the parts manager at Savannh HD comparing things like frame mount mesurments, part numbers... that sort of stuff, between the '12 FLD and my '06 FXD w/ forward controls. Everything looks good so far so, I pulled the trigger yesterday and ordered the parts. Boards, Brackets and brake rod. It appears, part number wise at least, that the levers off of my forward controls should work on the other brackets. We'll see. The other brake rod is bent different to allow more clearance on the fwd head pipe. And I'll need the large retainer washer shown on the FLD parts figure that holds the brake lever in place.

More to come in the HDForum near you!

Best wishes.... Tim

Say Harley Tim,
Could you post up the prices please? Did the dealer say the parts are now available? Pictures when you can would also be great, there is a lot of interest and you are the first known purchaser of the parts.

FYI if needed, may help?

The FLD front header heat shield has an indentation for the floorboard mount.

Thanks for the pics, twofish..

They are indeed very helpful! I see that I will probably have to mark and modify the heat shield on my V&H big guns heat shield via high speed or dremal with a rotary file to accomidate the r/h rear bracket. I see that the 3 bend brake rod for the '12 FLD is to joggle below the stock fwd exhaust bracket. I don't use it but it's still there.

I'm sure that Mikey and, AFMM3 will benifit from this as well so from all, many thanks.....

Best wishes... Tim

Tim,
Thank you for sharing this awesome list of p/n#s. It has been my fondest hope to put boards on my 08 FXDB.

Will the brake lever & shift lever from a set of dyna forward controls work with this setup?

Any of these parts showed up yet? I'm afraid that even though there are part numbers and prices, it doesn't mean they are available. When the Sportster 48 came out, I tried ordering the spokes for the front wheel and 2 years later, they are still unavailable.
