So I put the forward control kit on (09 Low rider). I have about 3,500 miles on since the kit. It started to leak out of the hole where the original shift rod came through. I ordered the primary gasket kit assuming that it came with the gasket that sealed the front & rear primary housing, well we all know what happens when we assume! Guess which gasket it didn't come with! So I made one, in hopes in works.
Question for everyone with forward controls, Has anyone had this problem? I don't want to be taking the primary apart all the time just to replace that gasket. Is this something that I will keep having to do? Has anyone replaced the primary housing to one that doesn't have the mid control option? Thinking that may be the way to go. Lets hear it.
Yep had the problem with it leaking. It's the tower gasket.
I think I remember someone even saying they squirted some gasket sealer or The Right Stuff or something in the hole to fill it up then placed the cap over top to hide it. They said it worked.
